Data is the most critical and sensitive component of any business, which is why we have implemented several layers of protection within our IT infrastructure. To start with, a safe and secure shopping experience is wrapped in a 128-bit SSL certificate from Verisign, which ensures that all transmitted data is encrypted. As another security measure, we are protected against the threat of hackers, viruses, Trojans and worms, as we must pass a rigorous daily audit certification process, which is fully accredited to meet the scanning requirements for the SANS/FBI Top-20 Internet Vulnerabilities test. Yet another security measure is our use of a real-time scanning, anti-virus software, which provides protection against potential infections. Finally, our serversí are equipped with RAID technology with fail-over measures, which enhances data integrity and fault-tolerance, while increasing throughput and capacity.
Our dedicated, full T-1 line for data communication provides us with the vital throughput needed to guarantee an enjoyable and safe shopping experience, while our separate, dedicated full T-1 line for our telephone system allows us the freedom to communicate quickly and effectively. This pipeline is protected by integrating some of the most sophisticated, self-monitoring hardware, while still providing optimum levels of operating standards. With this type of flexibility, we have the ability to communicate with and administer our network from any remote location.
At Chamberlain Marketing Group, we also recognize the importance of having a fully operational business at all times. To ensure this objective, we have invested in a 40-kilowatt natural gas generator, which provides indefinite electrical power for our building and all equipment contained within it. In addition to our electrical backup, we also run multiple backups of our servers on a daily basis, which are located at various outside locations. With these backups in place, we are capable of maintaining ongoing operations in the event of a disaster.
